The People We Serve:

*      We provide art programs for people in the inner city that will help them develop their creative gifts, increase self-esteem and provide income

*       We serve artists whose work is sold on consignment at special sales and online.

*   We serve the public by making original art, folk art and crafts available and by enhancing enjoyment and appreciation of this work

*   We serve the public by providing workshops and mini-folk school conferences in a retreat setting where people discover and practice their creative abilities and reflect on the spiritual dimensions of this experience.

We serve Emmaus House, located a half mile from Turner Field in Atlanta in one of the poorest sections of the city.  Emmaus House serves children, adults and seniors through a wide range of programs, and the Work of Our Hands has provided a state of the art wood turning shop where wood turning classes are held for both children and adults.  A pottery shop will soon be added with a wheel and kiln.

Holy Comforter serves mentally challenged adults and has an arts shop for painters, potters, writers and wood turners. The Work of Our Hands provides teachers and supervisors who assist in the arts program. .
